This city and its approximately 55.000 inhabitants experience a built environment with great historical values, tradition and heritage, and past in wine culture. Our urban development proposal focused on the unexploited system of green aisles that the city has. Running through from north to south, we proposed that the Eger-brook could be the main organizing force in the city. There are also several bayous connected to the Eger-brook. Examining the city’s green system we developed a multi-connected system of intervention points, channels and areas. These are all linked through this green system so even one intervention instantly creates changes on another one. Also this concept helps to plug in the recreational and wine cultural areas that are mainly in the city’s periphery.
This concept was approved by the Municipality of Eger, and the first intervention area is ongoing.
